James Barnett, 49, PDA Sales VP For Audiovox Division

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.— Audiovox executive James T. Barnett, 49, died November 6. He was sales VP for PDAs at Audiovox Communications, a subsidiary of Audiovox Corp.

Barnett joined Audiovox Corp. in 1976 as a custom autosound salesman and worked in a number of sales positions for the company over 26 years.

"In addition to everyone at Audiovox, I know that many people throughout the electronics and wireless industries were touched in some way by Jim's compassion and humor. He will be greatly missed," said Philip Christopher, president and CEO of Audiovox Communications.

Barnett is survived by his wife, Donna Barnett, parents Harold and Irene Barnett, and sisters Eileen Perino, Joanne Tanis, Kathleen Doyle and Laurie DeBellonia.
