Alpine Updates Navigation Software

By Staff -- TWICE, 11/4/2002

TORRANCE, Calif.— Alpine released a software upgrade for its NVE-N852A DVD navigation system. Version 1.3 offers expanded routing coverage of the continental United States and Canada, a new split-screen display and exit information.

Alpine claims it is the most accurate route guidance on the market, with over six million points of interest and mapped data for over 9,900 North American cities. The software, called Smart Map Pro on DVD, uses NavTech and InfoUSA.com database information and Zenrin's Exit Info.
