Jasco Intros Optical Mini Retractable Mouse

By Staff -- TWICE, 11/4/2002

OKLAHOMA CITY— The GE Optical Mini Retractable Mouse, model HO97988, from Jasco Products, combines the latest in optical technology with a space saving design and a retractable cord.

Said to be perfect for portable computer users — for laptops, travel, children or people with small hands — the three-button scroll mouse introduces what Jasco calls the smallest optical sensor available on the market today. The diameter of the optical sensor measures 3mm, compared with 5mm for optical sensors that are standard in most optical mice.

The GE Mini Optical Mouse offers 800dpi resolution that is two times as fast as the standard 400dpi on the market. This allows users to get to any on-screen target more quickly with less movement than other mice. Optical mice last longer than standard ball mice because these do not have moving parts that get dirty or wear out.

The mouse, which comes in a stylish silver color with black trim, incorporates a smooth crystal finish, while the retractable flat cord automatically rewinds into a conveniently compact retraction module when the user simply pulls both ends.

Suggested retail is $26.99.
