Fujifilm Unveils First xD Cameras

ELMSFORD, N.Y. — On the heels of announcing a new flash memory format, Fujifilm announced five new FinePix digital cameras, shipping in September, that will support the new xD-Picture Card. Each camera will come bundled with a 16MB xD card.

The new offerings include the FinePix A200 and FinePix 2650, entry-level digital cameras. Both are 2-megapixel models, and the 2650 features a 3x optical zoom lens. The cameras are powered by two AA alkaline batteries and have suggested retail prices of $179.95 and $249.99, respectively.

Fujifilm also introduces two additional models to its entry level A-Series: the FinePix A203 and A303. Both cameras offer a 3x optical zoom lens. The FinePix A303 also boasts 3.24-megapixel resolution and a macro focus, while the A203 offers 2-megapixel resolution.

The FinePix A203 and A303 will be available at suggested retail prices of $279.99 and $349.99, respectively.

The final new offering, the 3.24-megapixel FinePix 3800, serves as the successor to the FinePix 2800 and carries a suggested retail price of $449.99.
