RadioShack has made a series of appointments. Mike Kowal, former VP at Celerant Consulting, joins RadioShack as senior divisional VP/operational effectiveness, reporting to Dave Edmondson, president/chief operating officer. Elliot Becker, national buyer for portable PCs at Circuit City, joins RadioShack as division VP for computers in the chain's Connecting Places Strategic Business Unit. Don Galloway, global product merchant for The Home Depot, also joins the same unit as division VP for home entertainment …Craig Barrett, Intel's CEO, will be a keynote speaker at the 2003 International CES, which will be held in Las Vegas Jan. 9 to 12 …M. Jennie Vogler, ex-Iomega and Sanyo Fisher USA exec, joins Norcent Technology, an affiliate of Shanghai Hongsheng Technology, as sales VP for consumer electronics …John McGuire, president of Locus Marketing, accepted Denon Electronics 2002 Representative of the Year award for his company at the manufacturer's third annual Rep Council held last month in San Francisco …Virginia Williams, a director in CEA's Technology and Standards group, won the Outstanding Paper awards from the IEEE'S 2002 International Conference on Consumer Electronics. The paper described CEA's home networking standard …Dale H. Allardyce, president/chief operating officer of CellStar, has left the wireless communications provider. Terry S. Parker, CEO, will assume the duties of president and chief operating officer.
