Hoover Launches Three Entry-Level Bagless Uprights

Staff -- TWICE, 7/8/2002

NORTH CANTON, OHIO — The Hoover Co. is introducing three bagless upright vacuums with entry-level price points.

The three models — two Widepath Bagless models (U5347-900 and U5348-900) and one TurboPOWER Bagless (U5349-900) — feature a wide nozzle (about 15 inches); an attached, five-piece tool set; allergen filtration; and a single-chamber bagless design that includes an easy-to-empty dirt cup. The dirt cup has a lid that prevents particles from becoming airborne while it is being carried to a garbage can.

Shipments have already begun with suggested retail prices ranging from $129 to $169.
