Gentec Launches Electrohome Pro Series

Staff -- TWICE, 7/8/2002

Markham, Ontario— Gentec International is introducing its Electrohome Pro Series of consumer electronics accessories.

The Retractable Telephone Cord, ETA829, offers a compact design ideal for notebook computers, both home and away. Small enough to fit into a pocket, it includes an 8-foot retractable, tangle-free cord that can be pulled from either end of the casing and connected between computer and standard phone jack.

The ETA829 is automatically retracted, and includes a phone line coupler for connection with notebooks that use modem cables, or with an existing male RL connector phone cord for an additional 8 feet of length. Suggested retail is $14.99.

Gentec's VO761 Digital Video Stabilizer automatically stabilizes video signals from a VCR or DVD player to produce crystal-clear images. It eliminates color darkening and shifting, unwanted lines, flashing and jagged edges when viewing VHS or DVD movies, by jamming signals to ensure clear reproduction of images.

The VO761, at a suggested $69.95 retail, features an S-VHS input, offering a choice of connectors, depending on the requirements of the video equipment being used.

Three Electrohome Cordless Phone Batteries include the ETA243 Universal Cordless Phone Battery with Universal Plug, which is compatible with most cordless phones when the original battery has the same voltage, current, size and shape. Suggested retail is $12.95 for the 3.6-volt, 300 mAh nickel cadmium (NiCd) unit.

The ETA273 Universal Cordless Phone Battery, at a suggested $19.95, is a 3.6-volt, 600 mAh NiCd unit, designed to be compatible with most cordless phones where the original battery has the same voltage, current, size and shape.

The ETA571 Cordless Phone Battery for V-Tech 900 MHz Phones is a nickel metal hydride type, capable of holding a charge and providing more power than traditional NiCd batteries. Suggested retail is $19.95, and the battery is not prone to memory effect, ensuring an ongoing full-capacity charge.

A range of A/V cables, including S-VHS, coaxial video, digital audio coaxial and fiber optic cables, is part of the new Electrohome Pro Series. A total of 16 new items, with suggested retails from $15.99 to $39.99, come in lengths from 3.28 feet to 16.4 feet. Color-coded connectors for quick identification ease the way for cable installation.
