Monster Intros Premium Subwoofer Interconnects

Staff -- TWICE, 6/24/2002

Brisbane, Calif.— Monster Cable Products is introducing three interconnect cables designed for powered subwoofers — M Series Bass, Bass 850 and Monster Bass 550.

Monster's MSB1000sw maximizes subwoofer performance and reduces noise. Construction greatly reduces sensitivity to magnet noise sources like power transformers and power cords. The cable features high-density double shielding for maximum rejection of high- and low-frequency interference, even over long runs. Suggested retails range from $150 to $250, depending on length of cable.

M Series MSB850 delivers all the thunderous, tightly focused bass that Dolby Digital 5.1 is famous for, Monster said. It features high-density double shielding of foil and copper for maximum rejection of high- and low-frequency interference. A copper braided shield rejects the low-frequency electromagnetic interference that plagues subwoofers. Suggested retails range from $100 to $180, according to length.

Monster's MSB550 outperforms conventional audio interconnects, said the company. It features a heavy-duty 100 percent Mylar foil shield for rejection of RF and EM interference. "Balanced" conductors deliver wider dynamic range and more natural music reproduction. Large, low-frequency wire networks work together to produce a fuller, richer bass. Suggested retails range from $60 to $100, depending on cable length.
