Samsung Exec Backs Town's Effort To Honor Brother, A WTC Casualty

Staff -- TWICE, 6/3/2002

LEBANON TOWNSHIP, N.J.— Samsung's Chris Cudina, senior marketing manager for the company's set-top boxes, is helping an effort to memorialize his brother, Richard, who was an executive with investment firm Cantor-Fitzgerald and was killed during the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center.

Cudina reports that friends and neighbors of his brother and sister-in-law Georgia have formed the Richard Cudina Memorial Committee, a non-profit organization, to create a monument to his memory in town and plan a scholarship fund to benefit a deserving local student.

To raise funds for the project the committee is will host a golf outing at Basking Ridge Country Club on Monday, Aug. 26.

The deadline to register is Aug. 10. The donation is $200 per golfer. That includes a round of golf, goodie bag, contests, lunch and banquet.

The group is calling for sponsorships for a hole, contests, refreshments and is open to other sponsorship ideas.

In addition, money, manpower and materials can be donated to the Richard Cudina Memorial, P.O. Box 565, Califon, N.J. 07830. For more information call (201) 387-9560 or visit www.richardcudinamemorial.com.
