Car Stereo City Signs With VAC

Staff -- TWICE, 5/27/2002

Portland, Ore.— Car Stereo City, a leading mobile sound dealer in the Pacific Northwest, has contracted with VAC Service Corp. to develop and administer a custom service program for car audio products.

According to Car Stereo City founder and president Joe Monahan, the VAC program will feature a theft component that will be unique to his market. The program will also cover removal and reinstallation costs of car stereo systems even during the manufacturer's warranty period.

"We are excited about the opportunity to bring this program to our customers, not only to allay their fears about possible theft … but to bring them peace of mind and freedom from financial outlay should their products require service," Monahan said.

The 10-year-old specialty chain operates 11 stores in the Portland and Seattle areas, and plans to add two locations later this year.
