ArialPhone Adds Cellphone Connectivity

VERNON HILLS, ILL.— ArialPhone is adding cellphone connectivity to its SOHO communications product of the same name.
ArialPhone's cordless earset lets users voice-dial phone numbers stored in a connected PC's contact list. With cellphone connectivity, users will be able to dial out over their cellphones to take advantage of low-priced cellular calling plans.
ArielPhone is offering two packages that bring cellphone connectivity to its product. Arial is selling both through its own Web site but is considering retail distribution depending on demand.
The first, the Cell Phone Integration Kit, consists of WHP Wireless's Cell Socket and ArialPhone's Two-Line Switch Kit. Users drop a Nokia cellular phone into the Cell Socket cradle, then plug the ArialPhone and Cell Socket into the Two-Line Switch Kit, which then plugs into an ordinary phone jack.
The Cell Phone Integration Kit will carry a suggested retail price of $129.95 and is available now.
The second option is Vox2's $199-suggested Vox Link cradle (which works like the Cell Socket but is compatible with Motorola, Ericsson and Nokia cellphones). It links up with the $49-suggested Two-Line Switch Kit.
