Car Toys Plans IASCA Events

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 4/15/2002

SEATTLE— IASCA, under the new leadership of Spring Break Nationals president Paul Pappadeas, announced that Car Toys, based here, will rejoin the organization, effectively expanding IASCA's presence on the West Coast.

Car Toys, with 51 stores, said it will hold IASCA events in states from Washington to Texas and cities including Houston, Dallas, Denver and Seattle. The series will be called "Noise at Car Toys" and will combine tuning clinics with IASCA shows.

Pappadeas noted, "Even though IASCA was spawned here, the West Coast activity seemed to have diminished over the years. We really don't know why." He added that with the return of Car Toys, as well as several new members who joined in the past month, "I think the excitement is back."
