Brand Source Car Races At Daytona

Staff -- TWICE, 4/1/2002

Daytona Beach, Fla.— AVB/Brand Source competed for the first time in the recent Daytona 500 auto race.

Veteran NASCAR driver Robert Pressley reportedly gave an impressive pole position performance in the qualification lap in his Brand Source Dodge, and ultimately finished 22nd in a field of 43.

Despite the loss, Brand Source executives said they gained tremendous exposure from the race — seen by over 32 million home viewers — and by Pressley's on-air interviews following the qualifying lap.

"Thousands of people took pictures of our car," said Dave Wright, chairman of the buying group's member services committee, who watched fan reaction from the garage visitation area.

He added, "Although we didn't win the race, we beat the Home Depot car. That was fun in itself."
