C. Crane Shows Battery Charger, Radio Antenna

Staff -- TWICE, 3/11/2002

FORTUNA, CALIF.— C. Crane is offering QuickCharger, specially adapted for charging new ultra-high capacity nickel metal hydride and nickel cadmium batteries. This advanced battery charger, designed to prevent memory effect and overcharging, especially in batteries used in digital cameras, recharges up to four D, C, AA or AAA batteries.

The unit analyzes batteries for their charge and rejects damaged batteries, and can fully charge 2 AA nickel metal hydride batteries in about 2.5 hours. A Soft Start function prevents overheating of batteries, helping extend battery life. Suggested retail is $49.95.

Crane also is offering its Justice AM Antenna with Twin Coil Ferrite that enables AM radio listeners to receive distant AM stations on their home stereos or portable radios.

Inductive coupling allows the antenna to be used with radios without external antenna connectors. Precise tuning helps eliminate noise, adjacent channel interference and distortion. A special remote placement option also helps eliminate heavy static. It also reduces nighttime fadeout by 99 percent. Suggested retail is $99.95.
