Acoustic Research Offers Premium Surge Protection

Staff -- TWICE, 11/5/2001

Lake Mary, Fla.— Acoustic Research is highlighting premium surge protectors for home consumer electronics products as well as satellite systems in its AR surge protector lineup.

These units feature advanced proprietary FNT technology, which conditions the incoming electrical current of noise and interference caused by the use of electrical equipment in the home as well as in nearby homes.

Acoustic Research, a Recoton company, said the AR surge protectors have some of the industry's highest joule ratings for optimum surge-arresting performance. Packaging design reinforces the upscale, high-tech positioning of the line.

The top-of-the-line AR-10S, at a suggested $99.99 retail, includes 10 outlets and 2163 joules. It also offers a data modem line, two high-performance AR cables, phone/modem and satellite protection and a $100,000 lifetime warranty.

Other products in the line are the AR-10V, with 10 outlets and 1736 joules for a suggested $79.99 retail; the AR-8V, with eight outlets and 1284 joules at a $49.99 suggested retail; and the AR-7, with seven outlets and 570 joules for a $29.99 suggested retail.
