Targus Debuts Portable Keyboard For PalmV

Staff -- TWICE, 10/22/2001

New York— Targus has introduced the newest addition to its line of portable keyboards, the ThumbPad Keyboard for the Palm V. The unit is designed for typing short messages and notes as well as for personal information management (PIM).

The lightweight ThumbPad, at 1.4 ounces, is the smallest and lightest text-typing keyboard for PDA's on the market, according to Targus. The keyboard, which clips directly on to the bottom of the PalmV's serial port, eliminates the need for an external stand or flat surface.

It is currently compatible with the PalmV handheld organizer at a suggested $39.95 retail, and is expected to ship this fall for the Sony CLIE, Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC, Handspring Visor and other Palm handheld models.
