Townsen Rejoins As Part Of Pioneer Personnel Changes

Staff -- TWICE, 10/22/2001

Long Beach, Calif.— Pioneer Electronics (USA) has made several personnel changes in its Mobile Entertainment Division, including the return of Michael Townsen to the company as marketing VP.

Other changes include the promotion of Matt Yoshimi to marketing and product planning VP and the appointment of Keith Burnett as product planning VP.

Matt Yoshimi, former product planning manager, replaces Andy Yamaguchi, who will return to the company's headquarters in Tokyo. Keith Burnett, who previously served as marketing VP, will take the helm of the product planning department as its vice president.

"Both Matt and Keith are long-time members of Pioneer's mobile entertainment team, and will continue to provide the strong leadership necessary to expand our business into new, digital technologies," said Susumu Kotani, president of Pioneer's Mobile Entertainment Division.

Michael Townsen rejoins Pioneer as marketing VP to oversee all aspects of marketing for the Mobile Electronics unit, after four years away from the company.

"We're happy to have Michael back as part of the Pioneer family. His knowledge and insight of the industry can only strengthen our sales and marketing efforts," said Kotani.
