RCA Introduces Headphone Line For Digital Audio

DEPTFORD, N.J.— Thomson Multimedia is introducing a new line of RCA-brand wired headphones for use with portable digital audio players. Emphasizing portability, style and optimum sound quality, these wired headphones combine the maximum benefits of digital audio sound with bold, compact designs, said the company.
Ten new models range from out-of-sight in-ear headphones and comfortable neck-band phones to a model with interchangeable, colored ear plates.
In-ear styling is featured in model HP150 Stereo Snug-In-Ear headphones. Designed for use with digital audio products, personal cassette or CD players at a suggested $15.99, the HP150 features volume control and bass acoustic channel.
Other in-ear headphones include HP54 Stereo Headphones at $6.99 suggested retail and HP140 Stereo In-Ear Headphones with translucent blue headphones and matching wind-up case for a suggested $14.99 retail. The HP145 Stereo Snug-In-Ear Headphones with bass acoustic channel for high-quality sound has a suggested $12.99, while HP155 Stereo Headphones offer auto retractable earphone system and mute switch for instant turn-off and belt clip for s suggested $17.99.
Thomson also is introducing RCA model HP240 Stereo Neck-Band headphones, which fit behind the user's head for hands-free convenience. Suggested retail is $14.99.
RCA rounds out the category with four new wired headphones with adjustable, vertical headbands. The HP210 Stereo Headphones feature four interchangeable colorful ear-plates for a suggested $19.99. The HP215 Stereo In-Ear Headphones offer volume control and are foldable for a suggested $14.99 retail. The HP340 Stereo Lightweight Headphones with bass acoustic channel and gold-plated adapter has a suggested $17.99 retail. The HP230 Two Stereo In-Ear Headphones are foldable and have a 3.5 gold-plated dual adapter for sharing music at a suggested $24.99 retail.
