Andrew Introduces Dual Band, Vehicle Roof-Mount Antenna

Staff -- TWICE, 8/6/2001

ORLAND PARK, ILL.— The Wireless Products Group at Andrew Corp. is offering a dual band, vehicle roof-mount antenna that offers nationwide on-the-road coverage for mobile phone users. The new antenna increases signal strength, maximizes calling range and helps prevent the frustration of dropped calls.

The dual band, mounted roof antenna eliminates the shielding effects of a vehicle's steel body panels and tinted windows. It enables the car roof to act as a ground plane to ensure the best signal performance possible.

The Andrew antenna can be positioned anywhere on a vehicle's roof. It is supplied with nearly 15 feet of coaxial cable for ease of positioning, and has an integral rubber gasket/O-ring interface for protection, whatever the weather conditions.

Suggested retail is less than $20.
