Royal Bows EX Series PDA-like Organizers

BRIDGEWATER, N.J.— Royal debuted a new EX series of low-cost organizers which feature a PDA-style design.

The top-of-the-line unit also offers several PDA features including a touch screen, PC synchronization cradle and compatibility with leading Personal Information Management (PIM) software including Microsoft Outlook, Schedule+, Lotus Organizer, Goldmine and ACT!.

Called the EXcelsior, the unit has a rubberized body, as do all the five EX models, as well as 384K of memory and six-line display. It comes with a PC link cable as well as the desktop cradle, software, flip-top cover and stylus at a suggested retail price of $29.99.

This is joined by the EXtreme, which also has a touch screen but no cradle or PIM synchronization. It has 192KB of memory and comes with PC link cable, flip-top cover, stylus and software at $19.99.

Other new keyboard based organizers include the EXpert PC with 128KB of memory, and PC link software for $14.99; the EXtreme 96KB organizer at $9.99, and the EXchain organizer with 120 name/number capacity that doubles as a keychain, also at $9.99.

Royal also unveiled five new paper shredders. Three are crosscut paper shredders, which shred paper by both length and width. The new Royal AG10x uses steel gears, an advanced electronics control system and handles 10 sheets simultaneously. It has a suggested retail price of $79.99. The HT100 comes in a silver finish with matching wire basket at $89.99, and the new AG15x adds 15-sheet handling at $149.99.

Also new is the cia12x confetti-cut shredder with 12-sheet handling, auto-start/stop and auto reverse plus integrated wastebasket with a sensor to alert the user when the basket is full. Suggested retail price of the cia12x is $249.99. This is joined by the Double Agent AG312 that offers users a choice of strip cutting or cross cutting at $99.99.
