ARLINGTON, VA.— Factory-to-dealer sales of digital television monitors and television (monitors with integrated tuners) totaled 227,349 units in the second quarter and topped $406 million according to figures released by CEA.

June sales exceeded the 90,000 unit mark, the CEA said, and the month's jump in June represents the third consecutive month of sales growth of 2001 and an 82 percent increase from June 2000 sales. Sales of DTV sets and monitors in June totaled 90,973 units, or dollar sales of more than $159 million, in a month when the average unit selling price had dropped by almost $200.
