Azione Completes Vendor Membership
By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 2/21/2012
West Chester, Pa. - Azione Unlimited, the newly formed buying group for integrators and custom retailers, has added two final vendor founding members. The newest additions are George Walter, home cinema VP for Digital Projection, and Jason Sloan, chief sales officer of Dana Innovations.
Azione's founders serve as the advisory board of the group, which currently consists of five vendor members and two dealer members. Four additional dealer members will be announced in March.
"We are very proud to add these two outstanding businessmen to our advisory board," said Azione founder and president Richard Glikes. "We have continued to surround ourselves with the brightest minds in the business. Their experience and knowledge within our industry will certainly compliment the founders already in place and provide our members unparalleled guidance to success and profitability."
Glikes added that the advisory board held its first meeting last week to discuss dues structure and member acquisition. As a result of its recommendations, dues were adjusted to $750 per quarter and a "stiletto approach" to dealer enrollment was adopted, he said.
Walter and Sloan join fellow vendor members Andy Oxenhorn of JL Audio, Keith Haas of Integra, and Phil McPhee of the Harman Luxury Audio Group, whose memberships were announced in January. The current dealer founding members are David Daniels of ESC (Electronics Systems Consultants) and Mike Thul of Thul Electronics.
