Nikon Zooms In On 9 Coolpix Digicams

The zoom lens also works while shooting video.
Other features include high-speed continuous shooting (5 fps in full resolution), fast autofocus (AF) and built-in GPS with geo-tagging.
The Coolpix S30 (February, $120 suggested retail) was designed for busy families, offering an easy-to-use interface, the company said. It offers a shockproof (to 2.6 feet) and waterproof (to 9.8 feet) body, 10.1-megapixel resolution, 3x wide-angle Nikkor optical zoom lens, and shoots up to 720p HD video. It is available in a choice of white, blue and pink.
The Coolpix P310 (February, $330) offers a 16.1-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, a fast 4.2x Nikkor wide-angle f/1.8 zoom lens, advanced optical vibration reduction, manual exposure control (P/S/A/M) and a new zoom memory function. Videos are recorded in up to 1080/30p with AF and stereo, and the optical zoom operates during shooting.
The Coolpix S9300 (February, $350) also offers a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 18x optical zoom-Nikkor ED glass lens (25-450mm) with VR image stabilization, and a 3-inch high resolution (921,000-dot) LCD screen in a compact body. It features a fast AF system, quick response, up to FullHD 1080p movie recording and a built-in GPS. It is available in a choice of black, red and silver.
The Coolpix S6300 (February, $200) includes a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, a 10x Nikkor wide-angle optical zoom lens (25-250mm) and a slim body design. It includes FullHD 1080p movie recording with stereo sound and high-speed continuous shooting and is available in a choice of red, black, silver and blue.
The Coolpix S4300 (February, $170) includes a 3-inch touchscreen LCD, up to 720p HD video capture, 16-megapixel resolution, a 6x Nikkor wide-angle optical zoom lens (26-156mm) and vibration reduction.
It is available in a choice of plum, black, silver, white and red.
The Coolpix S3300 (February, $140) features 16-megapixel resolution, a 6x Nikkor wide-angle optical zoom lens (26-156mm), slim body design, up to 720p HD movie capture, and 19 scene modes. It is available in a choice of silver, black, pink, purple and red.
The Coolpix L810 (February, $280) is billed as "an affordable ultra-zoom," featuring a 26x Nikkor wide-angle optical zoom lens (22.5-585mm) with side zoom control for more stability, 16.1-megapixel resolution, 3-inch 921,000-dot LCD, and up to 720p HD video capture with stereo. It is offered in a choice of black, red and blue.
The Coolpix L26 (February, $120) also offers 16.1-megapixel resolution, a 5x Nikkor wide-angle optical zoom lens (26-130mm), up to 720p HD video recording, scene modes and Nikon's Smart Portrait System.
