Sears Touts Super Bowl Savings In CE

Hoffman Estates, Ill. - Sears has announced a raft of home-theater promotions for the Super Bowl.

The chain said it is offering "deep discounts" on smart TVs from Sony, Samsung, Sharp, LG and Panasonic, and audio products by Bose and Onkyo, among other brands.

Audrey Broxterman, divisional VP and chief marketing officer, electronics, for parent company Sears Holdings, said, "For those of us who can't be in Indianapolis for this year's big game, Sears is providing its customers affordable, high-quality home theater solutions so they can experience the ‘in your face' action of the game."

Special offers available now through Feb. 4 include:

a Sharp 70-inch 1080p smart LED TV for $1,899, a savings of $900;

a Sony 55-inch 1080p 3D smart LED TV with two pairs of 3D glasses and a 3D Blu-ray movie for $1,499, a savings of $1,400;

a Zenith 50-inch 1080p plasma TV for $549, a savings of $150;

  a Samsung 32-inch LCD TV for $300, a savings of $50;

a Sony Wi-Fi-ready Blu-ray Disc player for $79.99;

a Bose CineMate Series II audio system for $540 when purchased with any HDTV, a savings of $60;

a Sharp 2.1-channel soundbar  for $250, a savings of $50; and

an Onkyo 800 watt HTiB for $500.
