BrandSource Creates Sales, Recruitment Role

Anaheim, Calif. - BrandSource has hired majap industry veteran Tom Bennett to head up a new sales and membership recruitment and retention function.

In his newly created role as sales VP, Bennett will oversee all sales functions for the CE, majap and home-furnishings buying group, and will collaborate with district and regional managers on recruitment, retention and member relations.

He will also supervise product rollouts from the group's Expert Warehouse II fulfillment program, which offers members an extensive and expanding assortment of products and brands with greater logistics, warehousing, shipping and billing efficiencies, Brand Source said.

Bennett has been in the majap industry for more than 17 years, beginning at Maytag and most recently serving as distributor sales director for Electrolux, and has called on such national retail accounts as Best Buy, Circuit City, The Home Depot and Sears.

 "Tom is a well-known and well-respected individual in this industry and he brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh, insightful perspective to the table," said BrandSource CEO Bob Lawrence. "We're eager to roll up our sleeves and work with him as we move into our next phase of growth."
