Escort Launches SmartSite System

West Chester, Ohio - Escort unveiled its SmartSite rearview camera system on Monday, with a 4.3-inch color LCD display.Integrated into an OEM rearview replacement mirror assembly, the SmartSite system can support up to two rear-mounted cameras (one is included). The mirror can be used in 12-volt and 24-vlt DC vehicles, and it also operates as a standard rearview mirror.
The rearview image is automatically shown the vehicle is put into reverse, Escort said. Features include high/low-voltage and short-circuit protection, anti-glare treatment, dimmer options, and the ability to adjust the brightness of the LCD.
Suggested retail is $249 without installation. It is currently available.
