Western Digital Shows Thunderbolt Duo

Irvine, Calif. - Western Digital will demonstrate its upcoming My Book Thunderbolt Duo at Macworld.The Thunderbolt Duo features a dual-drive storage system that can transfer 10GB of data per second on each of two channels in both directions, the company said. This speed would allow an entire HD movie to be transferred in about 30 seconds.
The Thunderbolt Duo is being developed for video editors, graphic artists and prosumers who routinely move large data files. A shipping date and price were not released.
