Intel Exec Promotions Announced

By Doug Olenick -- TWICE, 1/20/2012

Santa Clara, Calif. - Intel today announced a number of executive changes, including the advancement of Brian Krzanich to COO.

Krzanich, previously senior VP of Intel's worldwide manufacturing, will report directly to CEO Paul Otellini. He will oversee internal IT and human resources, retain his previous responsibilities and handle other COO duties.

Andy Bryant will become executive chairman of the board, up from vice chairman. He previously handled internal IT and human resources, which are now under Krzanich.

Dadi Perlmutter is being promoted to chief product officer. He will continue with his current post, leading Intel's architecture group, and will also report to Otellini.

Stacy Smith, VP and chief financial officer, will now report to Otellini instead of Bryant.

Bill Holt, senior VP and head of the technology department, will continue to co-manage the technology and manufacturing group and will report directly to Otellini.

Kirk Skaugen, Intel's VP and head of the company's data center business, will now be in charge of the PC client group. Skaugen will report to Perlmutter. He replaces VP Mooly Eden, who is moving back to Intel Israel at his own request. Eden led the PC client group since 2009.
