Paulsen is a 17-year veteran of the high-performance audio industry and has worked for such companies as Sooloos and B&K Components.

Paulsen brings a "deep knowledge of the custom installation channel as well as a genuine appreciation for high-performance audio with a particular affinity for loudspeakers," the company said. "I anticipate that Thiel will flourish with integrators as well as with dealers selling two-channel audio and home theater," said company president Kathy Gornik. "I anticipate that Brad's vast relationships with reps and dealers will benefit THIEL as we prepare to release several new products in 2012."

Paulsen replaces Ken Dawkins, VP of North American sales, "who left on terrific terms to explore an opportunity outside the CE community," a spokesman said.
