F&P Launches New DishDrawer Models

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 12/5/2011

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. – Fisher & Paykel Appliances will begin shipping the next phase of its popular DishDrawer dishwasher line this month in the U.S. and Canada.

The latest DishDrawer iteration will be released under both the Fisher & Paykel and DCS by Fisher & Paykel badges.

Among the new enhancements:

• single integrated models now feature seamless cabinetry integration, achieved by rear venting and a fully adjustable door option;

• all integrated models now include wireless remote, creating clean lines and eliminating the need for an external interface;

• 24-inch models have more room for place settings, expanding from six to seven per drawer;

• all models boast improved wash, energy and water performance, and;

• the new models feature enhanced racking, including an adjustable bowl rack for large pasta dishes.

Fisher & Paykel developed the drawer-style dishwasher concept in 1986 as part of a design engineering effort to “drastically improve” the dishwasher category, and was introduced in North America in 1998, the company said.

“The latest chapter in DishDrawer refines the platform to an even higher level with focus on integration and designer elements,” said Fisher & Paykel marketing manager Scott Davies. “DishDrawer offers options perfect for any application, from the convenience of its seamless integration with wireless remote, to the European and American styling that each brand offers.”
