Bowers & Wilkins Readies Next Sound Sessions Event

Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 10/12/2011

North Reading, Mass. - Rocker Lou Reed and rock-band Metallica will appear at the next installment of the Bowers & Wilkins Sound Sessions series on October 24 in New York City.

Winners of a Bowers & Wilkins contest attend the small VIP sessions to interact with musicians and listen to their music over Bowers & Wilkins speakers., the Zeppelin Air iPod docks, and P5 headphones. The first session was held in May with British  rapper Tinie Tempah, and follow-up sessions were held with Jeff Bridges in Los Angeles and Coldplay in Austin, Texas.

The company uses a variety of social-media platforms, music blogs, websites and artist pages to invite consumers to register at www.facebook.com/bowerswilkins to win tickets to the event. One grand-prize winner gets a VIP trip to the city to attend the event, and five other winners receive a pair of passes. All winners meet with Reed and Metallica to listen to their joint Lulu album, and they come away with Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones.
