Hammacher Intros Audio Streaming Device For Car

New York - Hammacher Schlemmer introduced the 45,000 Station Car Radio, a device designed to play live streams from local or global AM, FM and Internet-only radio stations.

Currently available for $99.95, the unit plugs into a car's 12-volt power socket and connects to an iPhone via Bluetooth. A free app allows users to search music stations by genre or navigate through talk-radio and news stations.

The app can assign six favorite preset stations and will recommend radio stations based on the genres listened to.

Users can also listen to music stored on their iPhones through the car's speakers, as well as have hands-free calling through the device's built-in mic.
