Iogear Adds To GearPower Charging Line

Foothill Ranch, Calif. - Iogear has rolled out two new lightweight portable charging solutions for handheld devices.

GearPowerMobile Power StationIogear's GearPowerMobile Power Station delivers 6,600 millampere hours of power, enough to charge a smartphone and tablet simultaneously.The new GearPower High Capacity Mobile Power Station, model GMP6600P, is a dual-device charging solution for all mobile USB and micro USB devices.

The power station's rechargeable lithium-polymer battery delivers 6,600 mAh, enough to charge two devices at once, using the power station's USB 2.1A and 1A power ports. The 1A port will support most cellphones, smartphones, iPhones, iPods, BlackBerry devices, digital cameras and MP3 players. The USB 2.1A port supports iPads, tablets and other devices supported by USB 1A.

Before use, the power station must be charged through a PC's USB port or by using the Micro USB wall outlet power adapter. A blue LED battery capacity indicator conveys the station's current power level.  

Weighing in at a travel-friendly 12 ounces, the station also comes with a protective carrying case. It retails for $79.95 and is available now.

Also new from Iogear is the GearPower Portable Battery Pack for iPhone/iPod, which connects via a 30-pin connector to provide up to four hours of additional talk time, 24 hours of audio playback or eight hours of video playback, depending on usage and phone settings, the company said. It boasts a slim 2.5- by 2.5-inch form factor and retails for $24.95. It's available now.
