Subaru Expands Satellite-Radio Availability

By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 10/4/2011

New York - Subaru is expanding satellite-radio availability to all of its 2012 models, and the automaker is making SiriusXM standard equipment in all 2012 Legacy and Outback Limited models, SiriusXM announced.

In addition, Subaru is making satellite radio standard equipment on the 2012 Impreza and Forester models equipped with a new factory navigation system, which will also feature SiriusXM NavTraffic service. Subaru previously offered NavTraffic on the Legacy and Outback models.

With NavTraffic, drivers get satellite-delivered traffic information and incident data regarding construction, road closures and accidents, enabling them to plan a new route to a destination.

Consumers buying an Impreza or Forester with the navigation system will get a free four-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio and NavTraffic services, the broadcaster added.
