Kicker Readies Car, Truck Show

By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 2/24/2011

Stillwater, Okla. - The Kicker division of Stillwater Designs will host its second annual car and truck show next month here at its headquarters, where consumers will be invited to tour the company's visitors' center.

KickerKicker's first car show in 2010 featured vehicles that were customized inside and out.
The visitors' center, with Kicker gift shop, opened last summer.

The car show, dubbed the Kicker Bash Car and Truck Show, runs from March 26 to 27. Contestants will compete in traditional car show categories, and although a sound-off contest isn't planned, Kicker might add a best stereo install category to the show, a spokesman said. Food, entertainment and other activities are also planned.

Part of the Kicker World Headquarters, the Visitors Center features products, exhibits and demo vehicles for the public. It includes a motion-activated Sound-Wave Wall with 19 synchronized 15-inch Solo-Baric subwoofers, a 40-foot Art of Install exhibit, and a Wall of Boom display with 28 subwoofers and 46 additional speakers powered by 18 amps, Kicker said. Custom demo vehicles include the 1964 Kicker/Monster Energy Impala.

The Center's gift shop offers Kicker t-shirts, ear buds, iKick and zKick iPod and Zune speaker docks, and headphones.

The World Headquarters and Visitors Center is at 3100 North Husband in Stillwater, Okla. It's open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

More information about the Bash event is available at bash@kicker.com or 1-800-256-KICK (5425). People can also join the event's Facebook group by searching for Kicker Bash 2011.
