By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 1/21/2011

New York - Longtime New York City photo retailer Willoughby's Camera will host a Canon Single Lens Reflex (SLR) Photography Session with Canon USA Feb. 10, the retailer said Thursday.

The event, which is open to Willoughby's clients, will take place at an undisclosed location from 6 to 9  p.m., and will include a dinner starting at 5:30 p.m.

Registration and dinner begin at 5:30 p.m. For further information call 212-564-1600 x500.

The event is open to Willoughby's clients, Canon fans and photography enthusiasts, the retailer said.

The three-hour Canon EOS Discovery Day will provide insight into selecting and using the right photo accessories, and will feature Canon's Drew McCallum, who will cover many of the features of the EOS camera.

The course will include the next steps in crafting photographs, delving into details about the advanced controls in the camera and how to use them in real-life contexts, Willoughby's said.

The agenda includes creative techniques in composition, camera control and flash with EOS Speedlites; using the camera's histogram, lighting and exposure control techniques; and using the right lenses
