Cisco Releases Home-Theater Router

San Francisco - Cisco has introduced and started shipping the Linksys E4200 home-theater router.Officially called the E4200 Maximum Performance Dual-Band Wireless-N Router, the router is available now at retail for $179.
The E4200 is designed to work with most entertainment devices, including Internet TVs, iPads, game consoles, e-readers and smartphones. The router features six antennas, four gigabit ports and amplifiers to boost range. Its maximum data rate is 300MBps in 802.11g mode and 450MBps in 802.11n mode.
The router can act as a UPnP media server and has a USB port for adding external storage devices.
