NPD Renews Agreement With Staples

TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 1/18/2011

Port Washington, N.Y. - The NPD Group announced it has renewed its information-sharing alliance with Staples.

This agreement will continue to enhance NPD's coverage of the technology and office-supply marketplace in its Retail Tracking Service for both the office super store and the contract stationers' channel.

"We value our relationship with Staples and are pleased that we will be continuing to work closely with them," said Perry James, president of office supplies and non-games software at NPD. "NPD's engagement with the Staples team, both on- and off-site, will provide Staples and its suppliers with increased insight and opportunity in the technology and office supplies categories."

"We are excited to continue our relationship with NPD which allows us to generate insights that will help our merchant team better serve our customers and continue to grow our business and the Staples brand," said Jevin Eagle, merchandising executive VP for Staples.

The NPD Group's consumer and retail information is reportedly used by more than 1,800 manufacturers, retailers and service companies. Information is available for the following industry sectors: automotive, beauty, commercial technology, consumer technology, entertainment, fashion, food and beverage, foodservice, home, office supplies, software, sports, toys and wireless.
