Buffalo Technologies Debuts CloudStor

Las Vegas - Buffalo Technologies introduced its new CloudStor and USB 3.0 storage solutions earlier this month at CES.
Buffalo Technology's CloudStor external storage deviceThe CloudStor uses the PogoPlug cloud service to allow users to access their data from anywhere, yet the content resides on the device and not in the cloud, the company said. PogoPlug maintains a secure connection between the device and whoever is designated to access the information.
The CloudStor will ship in February, with the 1TB version carrying a $169 suggested retail and the 2TB model costing $269.
The new USB 3.0 models MiniStation Stealth, DriveStation Axis, Drive Station Duo and DriveStation Quad are all now shipping.
The DriveStation Quad is available in two SKUs, 4TB and 8TB, with respective suggested prices of $629 and $1,199.
The DriveStation Duo comes in 2TB ($279) and 4TB ($459), while the DriveStation Axis comes in a 1TB version for $99 and 2TB for $149.
The MiniStation Stealth leads with a 500GB model for $89 and also offers a 1TB model for $129.
The three models are have RAID-level storage and backup software.
