Petra Donates $60K At Annual Charity Golf Tournament

EDMOND, OKLA. — Petra Industries, a distributor of CE, custom-installation products and related products, held its 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which raised $60,000 to support Mercy Ministries of America and Whiz Kids.

Bill Stewart, president/CEO of Petra Industries, presented checks for $30,000 each to Nancy Alcorn, founder and president of Mercy Ministries of America, and Masie Bross, program drector for Whiz Kids.

This year’s event featured 120 of Petra’s vendors, partners and employees enjoying a cocktail reception and Texas Hold ‘Em tournament at Fox & Hound Pub and Grille on Oct. 6. Following the evening’s festivities, all participants teed it up with a shotgun-start golf scramble at Oak Tree Golf Country Club in Edmond, Okla., the morning of Oct. 7.

The success of this Petra’s charity event was also due in large part from its generous sponsors, including Sunpak, Monster, Brown Printing, Canon, Parrot, Garmin, Consumer Technology Publishing Group, Midland, OtterBox and many more.

ORLANDO, FLA. - The Nationwide Marketing Group held its PrimeTime! convention at the Gaylord Palms Resort, here, Feb. 26-29 which drew a record 3,400 attendees for its annual Winter meeting. The mood of the event was upbeat as members discussed opportunities for growth with CE, major appliances and other categories such as bedding and furniture. Members and vendors of the $12 billion group, of which $6.5 billion, consists of major appliance sales, were in a good mood about 2012 as these pictures indicate.
