CTA Digital Unleashes PS3, Wii Accessories

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 7/19/2010

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — CTA Digital recently introduced a spate of new gaming accessories, including items for the PlayStation3 and Wii.

The Assault Rifle for the PS3 (PS3- SRG) is designed for use with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, along with most other first-person shooter games. It’s said to contain every button featured on the OEM Sony PS3 controller, including clickable thumb sticks. It also has a built-in speaker and uses the trigger as the R1 button.

Suggested retail is $64.99. It will be available in August.

Also new for the PS3 are two-inone and four-in-one charging docks, meant for use with the Move Move motion controller and Navigation controller. Pricing and availability were not given at press time.

For the Wii, CTA took the wraps off two products: an inflatable race cart and a rowing accessory.

The Inflatable Race Kart ($39.99), which measures 47 inches by 28 inches, features a hard plastic steering wheel that is connected to a dashboard housing the Wii remote. Up to 300 pounds can be supported on the soft seat, CTA said, and it inflates with any air pump via the air-valves on the sides.

The Kart is currently available.

The Rowing Machine Wii accessory is meant for use with such games as Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort, Jillian Michaels Fitness, and Ultimatum 2009 and 2010. The non-electric Rowing Machine holds the Wii remote in a cradle attached to the pull bar. Users are able to increase or decrease the resistance of their workouts by adjusting the tension knob, CTA said, and the base of the Rowing Machine has foot pedals with Velcro straps.

It’s currently available for $34.99.
