DXG Ships Sportster

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – DXG USA said last week it is now shipping to retailers its new Sportster series of high-definition video cameras designed for shooting is range of rugged outdoor conditions.The DXG-Sportsters are offered in to design styles (horizontal and vertical) and two maximum HD resolution levels. Both the horizontal and vertical pistolgrip versions with up to 1080p/30fps video resolution will carry $170 suggested retail prices. The horizontal version is available now and the pistol-grip version will ship in two to three weeks, DXG said. Virtually identical 720p versions of both design styles will carry $140 suggested retails. The horizontal version is shipping now and the pistol-grip version is also slated to ship in two to three weeks.
All of the new Sportsters are said to be ruggedly built and waterproof to a depth of 10 feet. For underwater recording the camcorders feature an unusual “dive” button that provides fully automatic settings to adjust for changing submarine lighting and color environments.
The “all-in-one HD camcorders” will also take quality 12-megapixel still images under a variety of weather conditions.
The DXG-Sportsters come with 3- inch LCD displays, and USB/A/V and HDMI outputs and cables.
Images are stored to 128MB of builtin flash memory or to SD cards up to 32GB Class 2 or faster.
The camcorder is also designed for easy uploading of video and images to social-networking sites such as YouTube or Facebook.
