CLO Launches WallWizard Mount Brand

By John Laposky -- TWICE, 6/4/2010

City of Industry, Calif. - CLO Systems announced the official launch of its new WallWizard brand of flat-panel TV mounts, a line that includes motorized mounts with suggested retails less than $200.

The first new mounts will begin rolling out this month and introductions will continue through August. All told, eight motorized mounts and six manual mounts will be introduced during the summer. Prices will range from $129 to $199 for the motorized models and $59 to $229 for manual models.

First to hit the market, WallWizard's XM series of articulating manual mounts for 26-inch to 60-inch TVs incorporate a new cam mechanism that enables a TV to swing out like a door using one hand to direct it, the company said, eliminating the standard two-step process of pulling the TV out and turning it with both hands. The mounts boast 90-degree left/right swivel range and 15 degrees of tilt. Suggested retails are from $99 to $229, depending on model.

Also shipping this month, the SA42 motorized swing mount incorporates an IR receiver and learns control commands from any TV remote enabling fine-tuned angle adjustment with one button push. It swivels 90 degrees left or right, incorporates presets for favorite TV positions, and when the TV is turned off the mount automatically returns to home position. Suggested retail is $199.

CLO is also shipping the ZA52 motorized swivel table stand, meant for installations where wall mounting is not desired. The 60-degree left or right viewing angle can be fine-tuned with a remote control button push. The swivel motion also eliminates unwanted glare or reflections, the company said. The ZA52 fits most 32- to 52-inch TVs and weight capacity is up to 100 pounds. Suggested retail is $199.

The company said it is targeting the big-box, specialty A/V and custom home-theater installation channels. WallWizard's tagline is "More Mount For Your Money."

CLO has named industry veteran Craig Matthews sales and marketing VP for the WallWizard brand.  Matthews previously handled western region sales for Chief Manufacturing and has held key account and sales positions with Panasonic, Sharp, Samsung and LG Electronics

"We are confident that dealers and consumers will quickly take notice of WallWizard's value proposition - a comprehensive lineup of technology-rich, attractively priced and easy-to-use mounts. Compact and sleek in design, WallWizard has innovative mounting solutions for virtually every conceivable installation application including over-the-fireplace, vaulted ceilings, furniture units, tabletops, multi-room, indoor-outdoor and traditional wall mounting," said Matthews.

"WallWizard's goal is to be recognized as a proven, trusted brand of innovative and cost-effective flat-panel display mounting solutions that enhance consumers' lifestyles," added Matthews. "With [CLO's] established design, engineering and manufacturing infrastructure, we have the mechanisms in place to support every aspect of growing and maintaining the business. We understand the diverse needs of the channel and are committed to comprehensive dealer support including advertising and volume purchasing programs."

All WallWizard products include universal mounting brackets, installation hardware and customer support.

All WallWizard mounts comply with UL, CE, CUL and TUV certifications and are backed by a $10,000 component assurance guarantee, according to the company.

CLO said the motorized models are tested to a minimum of 25,000 full cycles and are backed by a one-year parts and labor warranty. All manual mounts are tested to a minimum of 10,000 full cycles and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
