Grace Adds 2 New Internet Radios

By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 5/6/2010

Poway, Calif. - Grace Digital has added two new products to its selection of Internet radios. One is a portable AC/DC model, and the other is a stand-alone tuner that connects to existing sound systems.

Both stream music from networks PCs, and both come with free downloadable iPhone/iPod Touch app to deliver remote control from any room in a Wi-Fi-networked house.

The stand-alone tuner is the $124 Solo, which features built-in Wi-Fi and connects to sound systems via RCA outputs. It accesses more than 18,000 Internet radio stations, more than 35,000 podcasts, NOAA weather internet radio stations, and such music services as Pandora, Sirius Premium Internet Radio, Live365 and iheart. Solo also comes with four-line backlit-LCD display, five-function alarm clock, 24-hour sleep timer, Internet-synched time and date, and a handheld remote.

The Solo is available at www.GraceDigitalAudio.com and will be available in Best Buy, select Sears stores and regional consumer electronic stores starting in July.

The new portable is the $169 Allegro, equipped with Wi-Fi, up-firing stereo speakers, 8-watt Class D amp and AC/DC operation. For DC operation, it uses six AA alkaline batteries or NiMH batteries (not included) that can be recharged from the radio's internal battery-recharging circuit. Other features include four-line backlit LCD display, five-function alarm clock, snooze button, and remote with Pandora controls.

Allegro accesses more than 17,000 radio stations, more than 20,000 on-demand programs and more than 35,000 podcasts. It also accesses Pandora Radio, Sirius, MP3tunes, Live365.com, Aupeo! and blogtalkradio,
