JVC To Ship 2010 TeleDock LCD TVs

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 4/14/2010

Wayne, N.J. - JVC said it will begin shipping this month new TeleDock LCD televisions in the 2010 model series.

JVC LT-32P510JVC will start shipping this month the 32-inch LT-32P510 ($699 suggested retail) 1080p/120Hz LCD TV with flip-down iPod Teledock, supporting connections to both iPods and iPhones.
Models in the line continue to include the company's popular integrated iPod dock, which the company initiated several years ago. Models this year feature iPhone support and 120Hz refresh rates for better picture quality.

The new three-model JVC TeleDock series is comprised of the 32-inch class LT-32P510 ($699 suggested retail), the 42-inch class LT-42P510 ($999) and the 46-inch class LT-46P510 ($1,199).

The 32-inch model ships this month followed by the 42- and 46-inch models in May, JVC said.

In each case the iPod docks flip down at the base of the set to enable a fast connection to the iPod to playback through the TV stored music and videos.

The docked iPod can be controlled from the TV's remote, which includes a circular keypad with a control scheme that mimics the iPod's control wheel. The dock also charges the iPod, when placed in the cradle, with the set's power on or off.

During music playback, song title, artist, album and genre are all displayed on the TV screen. Music stored on the iPod can be played through the TV while watching TV programming, and the TV program or other video source can be changed while the music is playing, JVC said.

In addition, the sound can be swapped between the iPod and the TV program sound. Also, with music playing from the iPod, photos stored on the iPod or photos stored on an external device connected to the set's USB port can be viewed on the TV.

Other features in the line include the following: 1080 24p/30p HD resolution, digital noise reduction, 120Hz Clear Motion Drive for smooth-motion images and dynamic backlight. Connections include three HDMI inputs, one component input, two S-Video inputs, PC input (D-sub) and an analog video output.

The sound package delivers 10 watts per channel to each speaker.
