New York - Best Buy has entered into an exclusive arrangement to distribute the Barnes & Noble NOOK e-book reader.

Best Buy will sell the NOOK though its stores and online for $259.99. Each store will host a kiosk where customers can take the NOOK for a road test. The chain will also sell a line of NOOK accessories.

Best Buy also named Barnes & Noble a preferred bookstore and it will place the Barnes &Noble's BN Reader for free on certain laptops, netbooks, desktop computers and smartphones sold at the store. These devices will be supported by Best Buy's Geek Squad, the company said.
