Samsung Releases 2010 CCFL LCD TV Prices

New York - Samsung Electronics America this week announced pricing and availability dates on its CCFL-backlit LCD TVs for 2010.

Many of the models were presented at the 2010 International CES last January, and are highlighted by the 46-inch LN46C750 with 3D capability, Real240Hz refresh-rate technology, an Ultra Clear panel and expanded connectivity including Internet apps.

Samsung will make its 3D Starter Kit package â€” with two pair of 3D glasses and 3D Blu-ray copy of "Monsters vs. Aliens"  â€” free to purchasers of the LN46C750 and either a Samsung Blu-ray player or Blu-ray home-theater system.

The CCFL LCD TV lineup offers a total of eight series, all of which will comply with new Energy Star 4.0 energy-consumption ratings.

All premium LCD 650 TVs and above include the upgraded Internet@TV with Samsung Apps, providing consumers with an expanded, easy-to-navigate selection of Internet-delivered content and applications. Some of the many content partners include the Associated Press, Netflix, Pandora, Twitter, USA Today and Vudu.

Applications can be downloaded and viewed all while watching TV. More than 20 applications will launch by the end of March, free of charge, with more to come.

Also included is Allshare for wireless connectivity and multimedia sharing across devices, allowing consumers to wirelessly transfer photos, movies and music from Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-enabled PCs, mobile phones and digital cameras to their TV.
