Smarthome Signs With InstallerNet

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 3/9/2010

North Andover, Mass. - Smarthome, a leading home-automation retailer, has enlisted the services of InstallerNet, here, which operates a nationwide network of 3,500 certified and independently owned home electronics installers.

The partnership allows Smarthome to offer InstallerNet's installation services for its Insteon line of home-automation products, which allow users to remotely control and monitor lighting, appliances, HVAC and security systems.

"By providing a nationwide network of installers, specifically trained and supported for our Insteon line of products, InstallerNet has not only removed all installation barriers for our customers, but will also allow us to reach a whole new audience of  ‘do-it-for-me" customers, adding convenience and confidence to the overall purchasing process," said Smarthome  marketing director Mike Scharnagl.

"We're excited about this new relationship and the opportunity to help ensure the proper installation of Insteon products for Smarthome customers," added Bill Sheehan, InstallerNet's business development director, residential services.

InstallerNet's installation services are expected to be available to Smarthome customers on March 31. Smarthome offers more than 5,000 home-automation, security, consumer electronics and hard-to-find products through its catalog, brick-and-mortar retail store in Irvine, Calif., and Web site at www.smarthome.com.
