Denon AVRs Win Windows 7 Networking Certification

Mahwah, N.J. - Microsoft has certified four high-end Denon A/V receivers (AVRs) and Denon's two networked iPod docks as being compatible with Windows 7's home-networking features.

In 2010, all new Denon AVRs will feature the Compatible with Windows 7 logo, the company added.

The certified AVRs and iPod docks are compatible with Windows 7 PC's Play To feature, which lets users stream music, video and photos to any compatible device on their home network without complicated setup procedures, said Jeff Talmadge, product development and systems integration director.

The current Windws 7-compatible AVRs are the AVR-4310CI at a suggested $1,999, the $1,499 AVR-3310CI, the $1,499 AVR-990, and the $2,999 9.3-channel multizone AVR. The networked iPod docks are the $299-suggested ASD-51W and $249 ASD-51N.
