LEDs America Signs Warrantech

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 2/26/2010

Jupiter, Fla. - LEDs America, a designer and manufacturer of LED-O lighting products, has selected Warrantech to create and administer three- and five-year service contracts for its full product line of energy-saving lamps.

LEDs Amercia president/CEO Joel Westermarck said the company wanted "a recognized leader" in the extended-service coverage industry to back its products, and is "confident that Warrantech will provide the best service to our customers."

Warrantech president/CEO Joel San Antonio said the LED lighting market represents a new opportunity for the service plan provider, and puts it "on the forefront of this expanding new industry."

San Antonio said his company's customized coverage for LEDs America is "specifically designed to keep its full line of LED products serviced and in good operating condition.

"In addition, Warrantech will provide a competitive product marketing advantage for LED by providing long-term manufacturers coverage insured through an A-rated carrier," he added.

LEDs America said its LED-O products are the brightest LEDs commercially available, yet consume 50 percent to 90 percent less energy than traditional lamps and are mercury-free and emits no infrared or ultraviolet radiation
